News \ Glenn McGrath Promoting Wii Cricket

Nintendo Australia are continuing their celebrity endorsements by signing up fast bowling legend Glenn McGrath to promote Cricket. The game, formerly known as Ashes Cricket 2009, was released on the PS3 and 360 back in August, but the Wii version was delayed until next week to fit in with the start of the local summer.

“It’s always refreshing to see new and unique ways of bringing the game of cricket into lounge rooms across the country and being accessible to families,” says McGrath. “Being involved in the game at the highest level is a truly amazing experience and being able to assist in letting fans of the game simulate this is fantastic."

“After playing this game I almost feel like pulling the bowling boots out again and having another crack at the Poms.”

The Wii version uses motion control for bowling & batting, but unfortunately Wii MotionPlus was not implemented. The game has already been released, under its original title, in the UK.

Poor Ooh Ahh. Clearly knows nothing about video games otherwise he would have refused the offer to publicise the game indefinitely.

Because we of the terribad ashes result, and they wanted to delay it until the start of our cricket season, rather than release it for the 4th Ashes test.

    Cricket Sucks.... Full Stop.
Why would you want to play cricket on the wii and look like a dushe when you can go out onto the field and look like not look as much of a dushe actually holding a ball and a cricket bat instead of a wiimote

Looking like a "dushe" as you call it. Read this.....

"field and look like not look as much of a dushe"

That's the same for many games anyway, especially sports games. Even Punch-Out, the game that is on your profile as favourite game. Why don't you just slip on the gloves and not play Punch-Out?

Anyway, just more stupidity from Sarukun. However, this game sucks on the Wii and is not worth getting anyway.
